Swim Meet: Ocean and Maejor

Sure imitation is the most sincere form of flattery but there is also a thin line between imitation and recreated interpretation. Frank Ocean’s “Swim Good”-which was recently accompanied by an eerie and aesthetically pleasing symbol-driven music video-has been covered multiple times on various media platforms.

On September 12th of this year, however, a piano remix version of the song was included on the fourth mixtape, maejorMaejor, of Grammy nominated artist Bei Maejor titled “Swim Well”. His song, too, is accompanied by a music video.

Maejor, who also has Production credits to his name, also collaborated on the song “Dust”, a song from the highly acclaimed Nostalgia, Ultra.
