Last week Jay-Z had us puzzled with a video titled “Made in America,” uploaded through the Life+Times YouTube Channel. We now learn that Made in America is the name of a music festival hosted by Jay-Z that will take place on September 1-2 at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia.
The event will be sponsored by Budweiser and will feature 28 performances from various artists, all for the support of United Way. As of now, a few artists/groups have already been confirmed to play at the festival including Odd Future, Pearl Jam, Skrillex, Miike Snow, Afrojack, Calvin Harris, D’Angelo, Maybach Music (feat. Rick Ross, Wale, Meek Mill), Passion Pit, Santigold, Dirty Projectors, X, Janelle Monae, Prince Royce, Rita Ora, Savoy (DJ set), The Knocks, Jay-Z himself, and more are yet to be announced.
Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, May 23rd at 10:00am. You can visit the Made in America website now and have the site send you a reminder for when tickets go on sale. Don’t sleep!
