@  chrisb : (01:38 AM)

I am a 5"10 150lb male btw

@  chrisb : (01:36 AM)

I'm not sure about the Golf hoodie sizing, but for Gildan hoodies I am a size large, however I prefer an XL-XXXL for comfort

@  chrisb : (01:35 AM)

Hmm, I would say buy the brown one in regular small and just have it be a little big. Possibly room to grow into as well?

@  Guest : (05:51 AM)

I want to buy a Golf Hoodie there is a green or brown one. I want the brown one but the xs is sold out. In the green size there is xs. In the brown one there is small and i am a xs do you think I should just buy the green one or buy the brown one or just wait?

Movies watched in February:

Another Day in Paradise 2.5/5
Eyes Without a Face 4.5/5
The Rum Diary 2/5
Citizenfour 3.5/5
Klute 3.5/5
Box of Moonlight 2.5/5
The Savages 3/5
Why Don't You Play in Hell? 4/5
Fury 3.5/5
The Overnighters 3/5
Kids for Cash 3/5
Top Five 3.5/5
Selma 3/5
Nightcrawler 4/5

nightcrawler is close to 5/5 for me but it's really just gyllenhaal carrying the whole movie, the rest of the cast wasn't very good

I really enjoyed it until the end, which I wasn't all that fond of. I'm interested to see how my opinions change after an eventual rewatch though.

The Wolf of Wall Street (fuck)

after months of hearing from everyone that i need to see it and it's THE BEST MOVIE EVERRRRR i finally sat down for the shittiest three and a half hours of my life with my mother and sister as i watched the most redundant story ever that was really a shock value crusade to throw as many drugs and tits into one film as possible

it goes without saying that this was a hype hoax and anyone who actually thought it was a good film had never seen one before

i'm interested to hear some opinions from people who actually enjoyed this movie since there are many people on this site with deafeningly-low iq's

I watched that movie and there were no shits to be given. Sad your sister and mother ruined the boobs by throwing poop in your face. But that part made me think you watched this from some trees in a zoo.

Solid your original post was a 10/10 though so please review again.

Btw there were parts that have been done before but reimagined and brought to the screen in a fairly new way. It being based on a true story is most likely why those parts wouldn't have been omitted. For example the dialog may have been what the main character said but other movies used it thinking it wouldn't be used. It goes without saying I liked it as a movie to watch with your balls hanging out and definately not with a mother or sister.

I think the main problem with Wolf on Wall Street is it was marketed completely wrong. It's a(n albeit very long) dark comedy along the lines of Your Friends and Neighbors, but it should in no way be compared to other Scorsese films.

Scenes like the Quaalude sequence and the midget tossing discussion were extraordinarily well-crafted.

Is it as good as Goodfellas, Mean Streets, Raging Bull? Fuck no. Is it a compelling black comedy with an innovative portrayal of an extraordinarily unlikable protagonist (and a tremendous supporting cast)? I would say so.

It definitely suffers from its length though.

BIG_DADDY.jpg

My review is below:

Big Daddy is the emblem of the security, hope and innocence of childhood, which a man can spend his life seeking to regain. It is the green light at the end of the street; the leopard atop Kilimanjaro, seeking nobody knows what; the bone tossed into the air in “2001.” It is that yearning after transience that adults learn to suppress. “Maybe Hooters girl was something he couldn't get, or something he lost,” says Sandlers gay friend. “Anyway, it wouldn't have explained anything.” True, it explains nothing, but it is remarkably satisfactory as a demonstration that nothing can be explained. “Big Daddy” likes playful paradoxes like that. Its surface is as much fun as any movie ever made. Its depths surpass understanding. I have analyzed it a shot at a time with more than 30 groups, and together we have seen, I believe, pretty much everything that is there on the screen. The more clearly I can see its physical manifestation, the more I am stirred by its mystery.

I watched Full Metal Jacket for the first time in my life the other day. I was pretty amazed at the first hour in the boot camp, then holy fuck did it just get disappointingly average. It's not that I didn't enjoy the second half, but it just sucked after how great I thought the first half of the movie was.
