I'm not sure about the Golf hoodie sizing, but for Gildan hoodies I am a size large, however I prefer an XL-XXXL for comfort

@  chrisb : (01:35 AM)

Hmm, I would say buy the brown one in regular small and just have it be a little big. Possibly room to grow into as well?

@  Guest : (05:51 AM)

I want to buy a Golf Hoodie there is a green or brown one. I want the brown one but the xs is sold out. In the green size there is xs. In the brown one there is small and i am a xs do you think I should just buy the green one or buy the brown one or just wait?

I fucking love Animal Collective, so much so that I spent like 40 bucks on a ticket when they came to my city last summer.

Unfortunately, they came on kind of late, the bass was so loud that I could hardly understand shit and my ears didn't unpop until the next day, plus the crowd was full of smelly hippies. As SOON as the supporting act finished (I forget her name but she was good), a bunch of assholes started to elbow their way to the front. One guy who was well over 6 feet just shoved directly in front of my sister, who's only 5'4", plus there were some white guys with dreadlocks (which already causes instant disrespect) who were being obnoxious in front of us. Deakin was with them, and Panda Bear was on drums, so I was pumped to hear Purple Bottle, but they didn't play it.

I'm glad I went, but I wouldn't go again.

EDIT Here's the two most enjoyable songs from the night (we were pretty much in the bottom left of the first video; the balcony seats this was filmed from would've kicked ass):

Thanks for PMing me about this!

I'm a little undecided on these. I generally prefer Panda Bear songs to Avey Tare songs, and both of these are Avey's. I also prefer their work where the vocals are more natural/left alone.

I expected hearing something like this for two reasons:

1. Panda Bear is probably saving his songwriting for his solo projects more than he used to be, plus when I saw them live he was on drums, so he's probably focusing on that as well
2. When I saw them live, their voices were heavily modulated in the same manner as it is on these two songs, and Avey did lead/dominant vocals even for the songs that Panda Bear wrote

id love to think that they chose a song like this for the first single to ward off any "my girls" types of fans. and hopefully gotham is just a b-side and not on the album, i dont like hearing too much of one album before i listen to the whole thing

I love Animal Collective. They're my favorite band and will remain so until the day I die. I have their entire discography, including Oddsac and Transverse Temporal Gyrus. I saw Avey Tare play at U Street Music Hall in DC. AWESOME show.

They just released a new 7" a few days ago featuring 2 brand new studio tracks.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCK03Po10iE&ob=av2e

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rh0xvLxIAI

Cannot wait for their new album.

Spirit They've Gone, Spirit They've Vanished, Fall Be Kind, Sung Tongs, and Water Curses are my favorite releases by them. And I absolutely love Safer from the Peacebone single.

Thanks for PMing me about this!

Woops, didn't see someone else had posted about it. Also, it's not common to hear a Panda Bear led song. Avey is the main song writer for the group. He writes a majority of the music and sings on about 90% of their music.

What kind of music do you enjoy more? Folk? Pop? Electronic?

Check out Sung Tongs if you're into folk, or Campfire Songs.
If you like Pop, listen to Merriweather Post Pavillion, or Strawberry Jam.
If you like electronic listen to Danse Manatee. It's very intense in terms of sonic spectrum. Lots of really shrill sounds and low rumbling bass sounds, but that's what they were experimenting with on that album.

Meet the Light Child from Danse Manatee.

What about Guys Eyes? That is also a Panda Bear song. Love that jam. And My Girls and Brothersport were great but April and the Phantom from STG,STV and Safer from the Peacebone single are great songs. That's just my opinion though. I like Avey's stuff more than Panda's. Not to say I don't like all of Panda's work cause I do, but I just enjoy the dark whimsical side of Avey's music.

It depends on who you ask. Sung Tongs is a favorite, but it's pretty accoustic; not sure if you're into that.
