I am a 5"10 150lb male btw

@  chrisb : (01:36 AM)

I'm not sure about the Golf hoodie sizing, but for Gildan hoodies I am a size large, however I prefer an XL-XXXL for comfort

@  chrisb : (01:35 AM)

Hmm, I would say buy the brown one in regular small and just have it be a little big. Possibly room to grow into as well?

@  Guest : (05:51 AM)

I want to buy a Golf Hoodie there is a green or brown one. I want the brown one but the xs is sold out. In the green size there is xs. In the brown one there is small and i am a xs do you think I should just buy the green one or buy the brown one or just wait?

I'm assuming some of you like to read, since there's a lot of white posters. What are your favourite books and what are you currently reading?

For fiction I like C.S. Lewis (not just Narnia) but I've been reading a lot of non-fiction books lately and a book that can literally change your life for the better is Radical Honesty by Brad Blanton and then another good, short, kick-in-the-ass book is Do The Work by Stephen Pressfield.

This is tough, but most likely Slaughterhouse Five by Vonnegut, First Blood by David Morrell, Gary Paulson novels, The Great Gatsby, and a lot of others that would take me forever to list. Currently I am attempting to Read Gravity's rainbow by Thomas Pynchon, but its such a long and difficult read. Still hooked by it though.

Currently half way into "Notes from Underground" by Fyodor Dostoyevsky. Its the rambling memoirs of a bitter, isolated, unnamed narrator. Its pretty dark and a short read. I found it for about 6 bucks and B&N. I really like it so far

Bukowski is always great for a fun/quick read.

To Mr Treal: All of those are very solid books. Good stuff.

Anyone here... read for enjoyment? Like, legitimately pick up a book and read for fun?

Even Harry Potter, the shit they make you read in school but end up enjoying, that one really old yellowed book in the library you decided to not use to break weed on.

Not to sound like pompous or pretentious or egotistical, since I was 15, I've tried to read at least 3 different books a month. It was a parting wish from a friend that I've been or at least tried to stick to.

Some of my favorite authors are :

Chuck Palahniuk (Invisible Monsters, Snuff, Fight Club, Lullaby, the list goes on)
JK Rowling (you already know)
Anthony Burgess (A Clockwork Orange)
Edgar Allen Poe (imo, the original rockstar. Wrote horror, drank heavy, died cursing the world to some extent I'm sure)
Kurt Vonnegut (Slaughterhouse-Five is probably my favorite book of all-time)
HP Lovecraft (Father of the C'thulu mythos and one awesome post-modern horror-fiction author)
Ransom Riggs (only one book out, but it's probably gonna be a classic one day)

And a lot of other authors and books. I'd list more but I'm wasting time at work.

Took English Literature for one of my A-Levels. Shit's fucking hard, especially reading such shit as Great Gatsby (Which I didn't mind), Death of a Salesman, King Lear and Enduring Love.

Fucking hate Shakespeare. But it's all good this year as we can choose what books we're studying, I've chose A Clockwork Orange so far, and probs gonna do Catcher in the Rye along with it.

I read a lot. I was a history buff when I was younger, so I read a ton of biographies and stuff, although not so much any more. Some of my favorite biographies/autobiographies:

Up From Slavery by Booker T. Washington
George Washington's War by Bruce Chadwick
Carry a Big Stick: The Uncommon Heroism of Theodore Roosevelt by George Grant
The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin

Some of my favorite authors:

C.S. Lewis
G.A. Henty
Robert A. Heinlein
Orson Scott Card
Shakespeare

Just finished reading Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.

Was shocked when I realized Frankenstein was the name of the creator not the actual monster.

I'm reading books by Maya Angelou and Bebe-Moore Campbell atm.

I love Card's Ender's Game/Ender's shadow series... as far as CS Lewis goes.. he was pretty dumb imo. Have you read his Christian apologetics books? Fallacy after fallacy after fallacy.

Yeah, real lit nerds tend to say "Frankenstein's Monster" instead of just Frankenstein.

As far as sci-fi goes, Card is a distant second to Heinlein; if you've never read his stuff, I'd highly recommend The Moon is a Harsh Mistress.

Oh God...another potential religious argument. Personally, I think the guy was really intelligent, but even if you just go by his fictional works, the guy's a genius. The Screwtape Letters and The Great Divorce are masterpieces.

Chuck Palahniuk (Invisible Monsters, Snuff, Fight Club, Lullaby, the list goes on)

I have Invisible Monsters on my shelf right now.
I believe I read it two years ago. It was (from what I remember) pretty fucking awesome.
I like Jay Ashers work. But his audience is love seeking teenagers and shit like that.
But at any rate "Thirteen Reasons Why" was his best book.
Erm. What else.
I read Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy book's (Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso. )
I don't read frequently, but I can hang.
