Ukraine killed thousands of thousands of stray dogs, they even invented maschines to kill dogs even faster. The first time, whole europe looks onto ukraine and they just wanted to get rid of that image..That image of having streets full of homeless stray dogs etc..
Its sad whats happening there at the moment
for example: http://www.liveleak....=71b_1321456146
the last sentince:
"There are 250.000 dogs and cats in the urkaine who will be removed from streets until 2012!"

Lmao, seriously in the last month I've learned a lot of crazy stuff about ukraine i disn't know, i had the idea it wasn't so bad

It's a beautiful city, if you are interested in museums and visiting palaces there's a lot of cool stuff to see, the beach is alao nice, but it,s better on the south, lisbon is center-south. Watchout for your wallet on public transportation.
The thing I like the least is the sidewalks, they hurt to walk on for a long time and are impossible toskate on. Some people are also assholes but that's like everywhere I guess.
If you like football make sure to visit the Luz Stadium, if possible go watch a benfica game live, it's an awesome atmosphere.
Overall it's a good place to visit. You definetely should come.

Greece

Greece will play group A with Co-hosts Poland, Russia and Czech Republic, as said before, by far the weakest group, still it's pretty balanced, the 2004 European Xhampions are expected to proceed to the quarter-finals but none of the other 3 teams is willing to go home without a fight.

The Stars

Posted Image
Giorgos Karagounis (Panathinaikos)

A player I obviously know very well from his seasons on Benfica, where he established himself as one of the key players on the squad, the captain of the greek squad is one of the hero's of 2004 who won the European Championship on Greece's first Euro ever.

Posted Image
Theofanis Gekas
(Samsunspor)

The top goal scorer of the greek squad, even though he lost his place on the starting eleven to the younger Samaras and Mitroglou, he was still very important in the qualifyings for the previous European Championship and World Cup.

Be on the lookout for:

Posted Image
Kostas Fortounis (Kaiserslautern)

A 19 years old forward who can play either on the right wing or behind a striker as a 10 or as a second striker. He's still clearly developing as a player, let's see if he can develop into an above average player.

The last of the three major candidates at winning the tournament. one of the youngest teams in the Euro and still very solid, but in football youth also translates to unexperience, still they are favorites to proceed to the quarter-finals in group B, but you already know how it goes, favorites are decided in the... Well you know how it goes.

The Stars

Posted Image
Philipp Lahm (Bayern Munich)

Probably one of the best defenders on the world right now, good defending routines and an attack support capability that gives any team he's on, a strong play style on the wings.

Posted Image
Mesut Ozil
(Real Madrid)

Like Xavi, this is on of those midfielders that have a absolutely brilliant game vision, Ozil is able to see the game a step ahead and what he may lack in explosion he compensates with a his game solutioning, which is powered by his creativity.

Be on the lookout for:

Posted Image
André Schurrle (Bayer Leverkusen)

Able to play either as a centre forward or on either wing, Schurrle is developing into a world class player, technically he is wonderful and he may be ready to establish himself as a great player on an international level, kind of like Ozil did in 2010.

the only good that'll come out of this is Woy Hodgson doesn't have a midfield choosing headache.

Yeah, they're replacing him with Jordan Henderson of Liverpool.

I don't mind, he's had a long season and he's not the youngest. The rest will do him good for next season

Italy

Italy will play group C along defending champions Spain, Republic of Ireland and Croatia. While still favorites to proceed to the quarter-final, Italy will have to watchout for a possible surprise caused by Ireland, lets not forget about one year ago Ireland defeated Italy by 2-0 on a friendly match.

The Stars

Posted Image
Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus)

Without a doubt and by far the best goalkeeper I ever saw step in a football field. Technically flawless, agile and an absolute commander of his area. He's one of the few players that have nothing to do with the teams I support (Benfica and my national team, Portugal) but that will leave me deeply saddened to watch leave the football world, at least as a player.

Posted Image
Giorgio Chiellini
(Juventus)

The boss of the italian defense, he's a fan favourite and while not as hard tackling as Materazzi (but not far from that standard either), Chiellini is a tough center-back who lives by the rule that either the ball or the opponent player do not get through his teams defensive wall.

Be on the lookout for:

Posted Image
Fabio Borini (Roma)

While not the most exciting striker ever (actually very far from that) Borini had a decent season on Roma this year, after having moved to Chelsea at a very young age, where he never established himself as a viable option, this tournament might give him a good amount of exposure.

France will play group D with England, Sweden and co-hosts Ukraine. As I said before Ukraine is the weakest team of the tournament but, while it's expected for both France and England to proceed to the quarter-finals, one of the teams may be eliminated if Sweden happens to defeat one of them.

Without a doubt the big star of the french squad, even after the 2010 incidents, Ribéry is a great winger and he hasn't quite shined on a international stage (obviously in terms of national teams), lets see if it will be this year.

For me, the best goalkeeper whithin his age group, yes, better than Neuer. He's a technically very good but seems to have not yet hit his full potential, even though he's already 25, but that is normally not a problem for goalkeepers, since many don't reach their full potential before 27-29.

Be on the lookout for:

Yann M'Vila (Rennes)

Another player from my summer transfer market wishlist (for Benfica), an exceptional defensive midfielder, a strong defensive capability and above average transitional skills, he's definitely a player you should keep your eye on.

Shame Austria aren't in it, wanted to see Tyler have a go at playing football.

Also hope to see Di Natale play often and Bosscielny to play for France. Kos is a fucking monster defender.

England were fairly shit today. having said that, I'd put a cheeky tenner on them to win the thing if they can sort out their wingers.

Cant see Portugal winning after seeing them get beat 3-1 by Turkey

Did you watch the game? It wasn't as bad as it seems, it's a preparation match it's for experiences, the third goal was like unbelieveable, it starts with a mistake from Eduardo and the Ricardo Costa tries to clear the ball and it goes against Pepe and it's in, but portugal did a good game and didn't even deserve to lose, the only bad thing is Hugo Almeida, he's worst than nothing, terrible...
But yeah, I stand by what I said a few weeks ago, Portugal is in a clear second line of candidates to the win the tournament, but I'm also realistic, it's gonna be hell to get past that group, but it's not impossible...

yeah true i was just shocked at the result

Everybody was shocked at the result :D even the turkish supporters, but preparation matches are exactly to learn where we are making mistakes and avoid them on the "real" matches, so yeah portugal is playing well, not holding back, playing face to face with their opponents, I might even say I haven't seen portugal playing this good (I'm talking about all the games with Paulo Bento as coach) since the 2006 world cup, so lets see what happens against Germany and Holland.

REALLY? Young is alright on his day, Walcott is shit, Chamberlain is inexperienced and Milner is too direct and lets not even talk about Stewart Downing. And these are pretty much the best wingers in the country

I said this before Cahill fractured his jaw. If they had a solid Chelsea defence and if they got the results before Rooney came back, they'd have had enough strength in the centre. Now that Cahill's gone, it's all tits up.

Yeah man. Hodgson should focus more on 2014 and nurture the young stars like chamberlain, jones and welbeck

Haaa He's pretty shit but nowhere near as bad as people are making him out to be. Not that much worse than Cahill and he's likely to improve.

I wouldn't say shit. just average. but sort of solid average. over the last 2 or 3 years watching him since his debut he's only had one shocking match. anyway it's not like he'll be playing at all, let's be realistic. unless woy unleashes another banter storm
