I've liked everything I've ever heard that's based in Iceland. The music is so soothing.
Mum, also from Iceland, is another band in the same vein.
Check out this music video:
Yeah man that is sweet.
Just got 'Go go smear the poison ivy' so I'll give the whole album a shot.
I've been listening to Ólöf Arnalds a heap lately.
She reminds me of Joana.
Fuck Bjork is a boss though!

i'm really getting into icelandic post-rock lately. aside from sigur ros and mum, amiina is pretty excellent
Amiina are excellent.
Check out For a Minor Reflection, for a population of what, 150,000, fuck they have some fantastic musicians.
It seems, if you're from Iceland, you're naturally artistic.

Used to love Sigur Ros heaps - still do, don't listen as much anymore. If anyone needs any post-rock recommendations just ask me, been listening to it pretty heavily for years.
Hit us up brother.
Always keen for some new music.

- The genre name, so fucking dumb.
- It's hard to find really good, different post-rock, so much of it can just be bundled and considered the same band.
Now don't get me wrong, I fucking love post-rock, but there should just be some more artists that stand out, like Olafur Arnalds.

Mum and Sigur Ros are both awesome, 'green grass of tunnel' by Mum was my most played for a long time.
