If anyone on here doesn't know them, you really should.

I've liked everything I've ever heard that's based in Iceland. The music is so soothing.

Mum, also from Iceland, is another band in the same vein.

Check out this music video:

Yeah man that is sweet.
Just got 'Go go smear the poison ivy' so I'll give the whole album a shot.

I've been listening to Ólöf Arnalds a heap lately.

She reminds me of Joana.

Fuck Bjork is a boss though!

Amiina are excellent.
Check out For a Minor Reflection, for a population of what, 150,000, fuck they have some fantastic musicians.
It seems, if you're from Iceland, you're naturally artistic.

Should probably re-name thread to 'Icelandic Music' haha, I guess ultimately that was my main point.

Used to love Sigur Ros heaps - still do, don't listen as much anymore. If anyone needs any post-rock recommendations just ask me, been listening to it pretty heavily for years.

Amiina and múm are fantastic, and I love everything Sigur Rós has done up to and including Tákk.

A couple things I hate about 'post-rock':
- The genre name, so fucking dumb.
- It's hard to find really good, different post-rock, so much of it can just be bundled and considered the same band.

Now don't get me wrong, I fucking love post-rock, but there should just be some more artists that stand out, like Olafur Arnalds.

Mum and Sigur Ros are both awesome, 'green grass of tunnel' by Mum was my most played for a long time.

Can't believe no one's posted Jonsi's solo stuff in this thread.

I'm not gonna post it, you have to find it yourself as a punishment.
