The Slim Shady LP singlehandedly got me into hip hop when i was younger. When the album came out and "Hi My Name Is" was playing all over the radio i was 8-9 years old and sitting in the car with my mom, "Hi My Name Is" came on and just as my mom was about to change it i told her i wanted to keep listening so she kept it on, needless to say i immediately fell in love. Being so young i wasn't able to purchase my own CD's until a few years down the road but never forgot how much i loved listening to that song. When i finally got the money and opportunity to purchase The Slim Shady LP i immediately ran to my room, put it in my cd player, plugged in my headphones and listened to the whole thing all the way through in one sitting. My love for the album continued to grow with every listen and from there it was history, i became a lifelong hip hop fan and decided that this is for me. This long-winded story is essentially the reason i am so excited about OF, the attitude and music reminds me so much of Eminem yet they have their own style and attitude that makes the music all their own.
