Remember that problem I had? Since yesterday I've been experiencing some of the same issues but now I can't even really left click on anything and I have to use the right one and press enter to exit out of things. I've restarted a myriad of times and I've gotten pop ups saying my antivirus has turned off or something like that. I've ran tests and even after it says it's fine it isn't. And then later it says there is still problems and I have to "fix" it again. I already system restored about 5 times at different points in time and still nothing. Anybody have any idea on what I can do? I assume this will be resolved sometime in the next few days like the last time.
Also, on top of not being able to view new content, when I'm on my phone the notification number stays at 10 but when I'm on my computer it's fine. Just wanted to throw that out there.

run combofix, if it doesn't help backup your stuff and reinstall windows.

I think it said Volsnap is infected. I had a lot of shit typed up that I didn't copy and paste into my notes but it says it's scanning for infected files. It has completed stages 1-50 (it shows, for example, "Completed Stage_1" up to 50 in list format.) It says "Deleting Folders" with 3 folders listed (1 in AppData and 2 in Program Files). It hasn't been doing anything else and it has been about 20 minutes. On the top it says "This typically doesn't take more than 10 minutes. However, scan times for badly infected machines may easily double."

Edit: I wasn't gonna wait anymore so now I'm restarting it in safe mode with networking. All I can say now is that it can't find the file LocalSettings.folder.dat and it is now completing stages.

It has now restored 2 files. It is now rebooting.

Do you know anything about Carbonite? I have it but I don't know if, let's say I backup everything on it and do a factory reset if it will be on my computer after and I will be able to restore everything.

Never used, it would be easier if you just got an external drive and backed up the stuff you need, leave all unnecessary shit behind, this is something you should do manually, automatic backup will always take something you don't want to go.

Probably yes, after the backup just get a windows dvd pop it in the drive, format your main disk and install a fresh copy of windows, it should work fine after that since it seems to be a software problem.

If you can't get or don't have an external hdd I suggest trying to partition your hdd (if it isn't already) using partition magic or something similar, and backup your stuff to the second partition, then only format the first partition and install windows on it.

1 more problem I can't seem to fix: I think since yesterday my volume icon has disappeared. I have checked device manager and before and after I updated the sound driver it still does not appear. I have tried troubleshooting but that didn't work. When I click on "customize" it says, under volume, "The Audio Service is not running". I can not turn it on on the "Turn system icons on or off" page. If anybody knows what I can do and can help me that would be wonderful.

It happens to me too sometimes, I understand this isn't a solution but the temp fix is to access the volume control settings through the control panel

Control Panel > Hardware and sound > Adjust System Volume (under Sound)

You can create a shortcut to it, just create a new shortcut and in the location write "c:\Windows\System32\SndVol.exe" and run it from there until you find a permanet solution.

Adobe believes its future lies in digital distribution and subscriptions – and it’s about to bet the company on this. As Adobe announced at its Max conference in Los Angeles today, it’s about to put all of its resources into developing its tools for Creative Cloud. Adobe introduced Creative Cloud, its subscription service for getting all of its tools for designers, photographers, videographers, web developers and audio professionals, just over a year ago. Going forward, Scott Morris, the head of Adobe’s Creative cloud and creative suite team told me last week, this will be the only way to get access to its tools. The company will continue to sell CS6 for the time being, but it’s not clear for how long. The New Creative Cloud apps will be available June 17. Most Max attendees probably expected Adobe to reveal Creative Suite 7 today. Instead, the Creative Suite name is actually going away in favor of Creative Cloud, which won’t have traditional version numbers anymore. For Adobe, of course, this also means the company is now making the move to a new business model, where the focus will be squarely on subscriptions and not on selling boxed software, licenses and upgrades anymore. Since it introduced the service last year, Adobe added more than half a million paying Creative Cloud subscribers and two million users who subscribe to its free services. As Adobe’s David Wadhwani noted in today’s keynote, there is no doubt in his mind that Creative Suite is the right direction for the company. As Scott Morris told me, the company was surprised by the success of Creative Cloud and decided that instead of trying to keep working different versions of apps like Photoshop, Dreamweaver and PremierePro – one for Creative Cloud, which gets continuous upgrades, and one for the next version of the Creative Suite – it made more sense to just focus on using the Creative Cloud as a distribution mechanism for its tools. Producing these different versions was a distraction, and this move, Morris told me, will “give Adobe the ability to focus” and make life easier for its engineers. This change, he believes, will allow the company to be more innovative and deliver new features to its customers faster than before. The company has no plans to release any new versions of Creative Suite going forward, but Adobe will ensure that every CS6 application will run on the next version of OS X and Windows. It will also provide the usual bug fixes and security patches, but it won’t add any new features to the tools. This is obviously a bit of a risky step for Adobe, something Morris acknowledged in our discussion. Most users, he noted, probably expected Adobe to make an announcement like this in the coming years – the fact that it’s coming today, however, will likely be a bit of a shock. What makes him and the rest of the Adobe team believe that this will work, he told me, is that virtually everybody who has subscribed to Creative Cloud loves it. It even gets a higher rating in Adobe’s online store than Photoshop, “which is virtually unheard of,” as Morris told me. Morris also acknowledged that there will be customers who just can’t switch to Creative Cloud and for the most part, that’s because of the online components like the Behance community and cloud storage features. Government agencies, for example, will not want to use this (or aren’t allowed to), schools won’t want their students to publish their work publicly to Behance and some enterprise customers, too, will not want to deal with these features. For them, Adobe has created special licenses and version of the Creative Cloud that still use the online distribution mechanism, but that won’t include that features that these customers will object to. To make the transition easier for current users, Adobe will allow everybody who currently owns a license to CS3 and up to subscribe to Creative Cloud for $29.95 per month for limited time. It will also offer similar price reductions to users who just bought stand-alone products like Photoshop.

After clicking Adjust system volume is says "No audio device is installed".

Your OS is all fucked up lol, completely uninstall your sound drivers, try to delete everything related to the driver, run ccleaner after you uninstall it, then reinstall the driver, make sure it's the right one, might do the trick.

Haven't tested this out yet but do you think one of my recovery discs could solve the problem? Only problem is I don't know if my files would be backed up. I could call the store I got my computer and Carbonite from and see if it would back it up upon re-installation. Or I could call and ask if there's a permanent solution to the volume problem.

They probably would, still I always considered a simpler process to do a fresh instal instead of a factory reset, the later will keep all bloatware that you computer brought when you bought it, a fresh install will instal a clean copy of Windows.

Also as I said before I find it safer to make a manual backup thean to use an automatic backup system.

If you don't feel comfortable enough doing it yourself then yeah, I think it would bhe safer for you to take it to the store where you bought it.

Even though I was borderline scared to, I did a system restore to May 1st and everything is back to normal. This isn't really a problem but since last week I've noticed that after system restoring, my antivirus gets disabled and my PC is labeled "At Risk". I easily fix this but I don't know if there's a reason behind it. Again, because I think I already said it, thank you for all of your help.

i cant sign into youtube, twitter, or tumblr all of a sudden. Anybody have a clue why this would be?

Try turning off your computer and then unplugging your modem/router or ethernet cord. After that leave it like that for 30 seconds and then turn on your modem/router,plug everthing back in,then turn your computer on and reconnect to the internet. Then go to your web browser, find the tools tab and then delete your cookies and browser history, basically every box should be checked and then hit apply or confirm.Retry logging in to your Youtube ad Twitter accounts.

Hope I helped.

PSN wont accept my credit card

Did you try using another card?

Can you easily obtain PSN cards from your local retailer? If not you can use your credit card to get Amazon to email you codes: http://www.amazon.co...e/dp/B004RMK4BC
It might be a fuckup on their side of thigns so try hitting up support.

It will also offer similar price reductions to users who just bought stand-alone products like Photoshop

Did you try turning it off and on again?
