This Week's Album:
Indicud by Kid Cudi
After much anticipation, Kid Cudi has finally released his third studio album, Indicud. With all the hype Kid Cudi has built up over the months for it, does it live to expectations? Let's find out.
Umm... I've never been a huge fan of Cudi. He's not bad, but he's not that great either. His only problem is the fact that as a rapper, he does nothing for me. He's boring. He's not funny. He's an uninteresting personality. I don't give a shit if he quit weed or what not. But that's beside the point, is the album good? Eh... kinda. There's a lot of good songs like "Solo Dolo Pt. II," "Cold Blooded," "Unfuckwittable," and "Immortal," but there's almost a good song for every bad one. Another for the issue is that most of the features suck, except for Kendrick Lamar on "Solo Dolo Pt. II," RZA on "Beez," and Father John Misty on "Young Lady," because either they actually suck or disappoint (see A$AP Rocky on "Brothers"). At first listen I really did not like this album, but after a second listen it definitely grew on me (and luckily the headaches went away after that first listen ). I would maybe check out Indicud on Spotify or something and see if you like it, but I mostly see Cudi fans as the main people who like it.
TL;DR: Album is 6/10, and Michael Bolton? Huh? Why? What? Him? Whaaaa?
What did you think of Indicud? Like it? Hate it? Reply in the thread and tell me what you think of the album.
