i think The Internet and Jet Age will be good for OF, it will bring in other audiences that dont like alt. hip-hop
Interest in OF slowly declining.

Lets face it, wolf isn't the album we wanted, good album but not the album that was "gonna take over the game" and "be the best shit you've ever heard". 90% of Numbers was shit. Hodgy is getting redundant imo. Best project from OF will prolly be an album from Domo. and nobody wants to hear the Dead Sams Jazz, funk, album or whatever the fuck it will be. i mean thats another 5 years away. Id say after 6 months after Doris drops OF will be dead. Kinda depressing. but whatever. anybody agree
Where to start...
Yes as a whole OF has been on the decline. Wolf was not what I was expecting it to be, and truthfully at first I was excited but ultimately I'm disappointed with it as well, but its still a solid album IMO. 7.5/10. For you to think of it as "gonna take over the game" was just an L on your part. While I haven't heard Numbers yet (don't plan to), its been widely accepted that it was a failure but to count out MH for 1 flop is dumb. TBH Hodgy over saturated himself in that the market, we had him on The Untitled EP, The Majority of OF tape Vol 2, and then MellowHype week+Numbers all in 2012 so perhaps a relapse of MH would be good for them and us. Domo, I'm too sure on what to say on Domo. His releases so far have been great (Rolling Papers, Under The Influence). I haven't heard No Idols (again like Numbers, I don't plan to) but that Elimination Chamber song was tight as fuck. Whatever Domo releases will be good or great IMO just because of his track record and because he's not too much in the limelight. Mike G... RIP. He has taken far too long to release anything worthwhile so far as I'm concerned his rap career is over. I like Mike G. What he has released (Ali, Award Tour) have been solid but his lack of motivation or whatever the fuck it is that has taken him so long to release Gold or whatever, is unacceptable IMO. The Jet Age/Super 3/The Internet are solid too, along with Frank. Earl on the other hand... Doris will not reach the critical acclaim that Earl has reached, but it will be a solid album a la Wolf. Woah was fucking terrible, point blank. Chum was a solid single. The reason why Doris won't be as great as Earl is because of the hype or marketing around it (bad choice of words). When Earl was still MIA in Samoa his name still managed to garner so much recognition and praise for his talent. We only had Earl (album) and whatever features he did with various OF members and affiliates but that meant that we only had so much Earl. When that Leila Steinburg cat or whatever started hyping Earl's return with that shitty website accompanying it, IMO that was when Earl started to go south and I blame Leila for it. Imagine if Earl had just came back with no hype and nobody knowing of it (besides his friends of course) and out of nowhere started to drop singles. It would definitely be something like the Captain Murphy hype only bigger. Yes I've been using the word hype a lot but thats what it all comes down to, the hype your name can create. Thats how you get fans, and thats how you stay relevant. I'd gladly eat my words if Doris is better than Earl but its not looking like it. Just my 2 cents.
One... Why are you not listening to Numbers or No Idols? I really like them both. Form your own opinions.
Two... I don't know what many other people thing about Woah, but I have loved it since the day it came out. I think its great. What about it is "terrible, point blank" ?
"Motherfuckers think like my mom heard a song and was like "No... Nah. Nah. I'm not fuckin wit this song." " - Earl

Uhh what about Frank Ocean? He is a household name
You got to grow with the artist..if you don't like their new work then tough titty...that won't change how they feel about their albums which got them where they at now...eventually they'll make a few songs you once loved but its all simple growth at the end of the day...but I do understand your point of view. OF is really falling back and not enough members aren't seen or putting as much of work than the others...IMO earl & tyler are the only two the media is focusing on...earlwolf would be the highlight of odd future and without them two, ppl wouldn't jump for a new domo, mikeG, hodgy, track so at this point I'm a little worried. However, the group is spontaneous and you really wouldn't expect their next move until they make announcements...so I don't really expect much from them other than a new track/album from somebody in oddfuture...I'm curious what they bring to my ears

My love for OddFuture staggered slightly last year but not to the point that I stopped listening to them, and this year the hype went through the roof.
I was in love with Numbers at first then I listened more and more to it and it lost the shine when I really listened deep to it. Mellowhype is still my favorite of OddFuture though. Not to mention Hodgy's increasing and even noticing when he messes up (acknowledging about Numbers not being as strong)
Domo's work is shocking me and he has improved the most in my opinion, so just that alone keeps me into Odd Future. Improvement is addicting to me.
I don't listen to much Frank Ocean but Channel Orange has a lot of songs I like to sing to myself when I'm driving alone hahaha the tones that dude hits, they're great.
Mike G put out Verses recently and that was refreshing to finally hear something from him. Definitely wanna get more from him though.
Wolf surprised the fuck out of me, and was not at all what I was expecting. I couldn't believe the emotional changes that the album goes through and I loved it.
Doris sounds like it's gonna be phenomenal from what I heard at the Tempe show as well as other songs he's played live.
So to me, no Odd Future is not loosing it's hype. Tyler is getting so much recognition and getting the name out there that they're just steadily rising.

OP is a butthurt faggot because Tyler doesn't talk about rape anymore.
Not gonna lie I wish he still did sometimes. I'd like to hear how different the delivery of the story would be.

I like how Tyler progressed....now I only listen to Wolf and Bastard....Goblin was good for me, but it did kind of grown to be more immiture and dumb for me. Must mean I'm growing up lol. I could still fuck with Tyler rapping about rape.

Jesus this place still exists?
Anyway If you'd have told me a decade ago that Earl would be free and have 3 albums that sound dark as fuck, Tyler would have made shit like Igor, Frank would came out as gay, Hodgy would have his arm covered in 100% black ink, Vince would have multiple albums, or that Nakel would go pro for FA, I'd have asked myself for the hook up on that good shit I was smoking.
