It'll be great, but definitely not AOTY. No fucking chance.
It's AOTY quality breh.
Not even, bruh. He's competing with Doris, Yeezus, My Name Is My Name, Owl Pharaoh, Yessir Whatever, Born Sinner, A Better Tomorrow, DOOMSTARKS, and so much other shit. Besides, most critics don't really care for trap when compared to most other production styles.
Yeezus - Yes
A Better Tomorrow - Yes
My Name is My Name - ...Maybe
Born Sinner - ...Maybe
Doris - ...Good possibility
Owl Pharoah, Yessir Whatever, and DOOMSTARKS are all going to be awesome, but don't have the mass appeal as the other artists you mentioned. DOOMSTARKS will definitely fly under the radar and appeal to hip-hop heads, same for Yessir Whatever. Owl Pharoah has hype behind it but is just way too overshadowed by the above projects. Now if you mean AOTY for you (in the cliche subjective sense) then oh yeah, you have the right to say that definitely, but in the industry nah...
Oxymoron will probably snag a few small awards, maybe one nom for a big award, but will be successful as hell since he's in TDE. Doris won't be universally successful as most of the other albums, but will undoubtedly have better content. Yeezus is just too hyped up and anticipated for any other release to touch it. Born Sinner is gonna have a few songs that blow up on the radio. A Better Tomorrow will grab some noms for big awards just because of the legacy of Wu. My Name is My Name will be great but probably overshadowed by other releases. All that being said *deep breath*, Oxymoron will do pretty well. Not AOTY commercially, but he definitely has a shot for an AOTY spot with his next album.
Sorry...just typed a lot. Letting my mind roam. My bad.
