I'm not sure about the Golf hoodie sizing, but for Gildan hoodies I am a size large, however I prefer an XL-XXXL for comfort

@  chrisb : (01:35 AM)

Hmm, I would say buy the brown one in regular small and just have it be a little big. Possibly room to grow into as well?

@  Guest : (05:51 AM)

I want to buy a Golf Hoodie there is a green or brown one. I want the brown one but the xs is sold out. In the green size there is xs. In the brown one there is small and i am a xs do you think I should just buy the green one or buy the brown one or just wait?

The only thing Obama has said is that 'The jury has spoken'

How can we be sure that Obama isn't a Negro Vigilante, though?

I'd still like to know how anything Obama has said on the verdict is a contradiction of the jury's decision.

Does it have something to do with the new threat of the Negro Vigilantes perhaps?

I was referring to his comments re: how to "honor Trayvon Martin." I suppose it's not a direction contradiction. It just seems very unseemly for him to continually comment on this in such a biased way. Then again, I think I've clearly expressed my strong dislike

EDIT FORGOT HALF MY COMMENTS BLERGH

Then again, I think I've clearly expressed my strong dislike for any person in a public position expressing their thoughts on a local crime issue.

Hey honey, you're the one putting the dunce cap on your head.

At least you're being honest about your allegiances for once.

Okay listen sugar, this isn't a strawman, you made some obscure reference to Obama 'interjecting on this issue' without any reference to what the interjection was. I made a natural assumption given your tendencies to just ape whatever right wing blog is popular this morning and the fact that the only website I've seen claiming Obama's interference was the one I linked. But I would be delighted for you to clarify what the hell you're talking about.

Ooh, and he's using female-oriented condescension as well! He's going for the ringer.

Okay, so I make what you refer to as an "obscure reference", and then you take that as permission to shove an argument into my mouth and mock me for it? I have an idea for the future: If somebody says something you don't immediately understand, why don't you ask for clarification? We could even have whole websites designed around talking with people. And we can call them forums!

I don't even know who you are, and as far as I can tell you've only seen maybe two or three of my posts on politics ever, especially considering I'm coming off being pretty much absent on the site for like a year. How the fuck could you begin to know my "tendencies", or my "allegiances" for that matter? Which by the way are dead wrong, I don't read any right wing blog, but thanks again for setting "me" up just to knock me back down...

What the hell are you talking about?

I'd say we should start over from the beginning to have a productive conversation, but I have an idea that will save us both some time: Write the word "Grace" on your hand and make it say whatever you want. You can even talk down to it real nice-like, teach it how the world works, and just have fun with it. Hell, you could even make it your right hand, just so you can really pretend it's a woman if you ever feel so inclined.

Done with this thread. Why do I keep doing this to myself?

It's not a contradiction at all. In fact one could say that you deliberately were vague in order for people to misconstrue or generally no understand what you were alluding to. And one would be correct because is one saw to what you were referring, one would dismiss it as nonsense.

Then again, I think I've clearly expressed my strong dislike for any person in a public position expressing their thoughts on a local crime issue.

It's not a local crime issue for reasons I've already discussed

No sugar, that's how I talk to everyone regardless of gender.

It's kind of obvious that as the President of the United States of America he has to comment on such an issue that has been hyped to death by the media and the rest of the herd. Let's not forget that a seventeen year old child was shot to death and that everyone knows he's been shot to death. From a political standpoint, keeping in touch with the winning of hearts and minds, it is beneficial for any president to make a simple and caring comment like that. He is simply using the case of Trayvon Martin as a symbol - whether you believe he is motivated by some secret political agenda or not is irrelevant. There was no public contradiction of the jury's decision, nor would I call it bias unless you're implying that Obama's direct personality and heritage has something to do with the release of his public statements.

Okay, in case anybody's keeping track, Pooch's charges have been downgraded from essentially calling me an idiot who was repeating something from a racist blog. I now stand accused of being "deliberately vague," so I can....I don't even know what. Bait people into being giant douchebags? I guess Pooch fell for it hook, line and sinker.

In my defense, I didn't even know about the DoJ stuff until after my post. I assumed the President's statement was still fresh in everybody's mind.

Thank God Henry's still around. I still have some crazy European that I can talk to without wanting to kill myself.

There was no public contradiction of the jury's decision, nor would I call it bias unless you're implying that Obama's direct personality and heritage has something to do with his public statements.

There are gradients, though, you have to admit. There's a difference between making a statement that's sympathetic and soothing over such a God-awful scenario, and saying stuff like his son would look like Trayvon. How is that appropriate? He has a history of keeping mum about so many issues that are hyped to death by the media - how long did it take him to comment about any number of the dozens of scandals, claiming it would be "inappropriate" for him to comment? My point is that he's the President of the whole country. Even if we ended up differing on every issue, as President he should be unifying a country that's (sometimes violently) split over this issue, not taking sides.

Also, he's definitely using him as a symbol, and it's not even remotely a secret agenda - in literally the same sentence he mentioned gun law reform. Whether you agree with it or not, it's not appropriate timing in the least.\

EDIT TO ADD: Children are shot constantly. I'm not sure how much news makes it your way, but every Monday it's the same thing: 20 kids shot in Chicago this weekend. Meanwhile people are taking to the streets over one tragedy, while the same and worse is going on multiple times per day. One tragedy doesn't detract from the other, they're not judged on a curve, but something about it just makes me uneasy. Why is it so easy for people to breeze over one issue and focus on another?

Christ Angelo, don't respond, we can take down the beast!

It's not downgraded, I wasn't aware of what you were talking about at all, sure I made an assumption besed on the evidence I had, but hey at least I don't parrot ridiculous slogans without any value!

Well you were wrong, nobody really cared about that speech because it was a standard presidential speech after a national affair. Not everyone thinks lives in a terrifying world of maddening conspiracies which don't exist. It would be more worrying if Obama said nothing.

Well why this is a national news story has already been discussed for about 6 pages. Keep up, darling.

Does anybody even begin to understand you? Do you realize that most people, when faced with something they don't understand, ask a question rather than make an assumption and just run wild with it? You doubled down on that, too - once I called you out on it, you acted like it was my fault that you lost your damn mind and accused me of being "deliberately vague," which sounds about as diabolical as "stealing cookies from the cookie jar."

Now you're tipping your hand. Anybody who knows me knows that I'm pretty much disconnected from the news cycle. That's why in the few cases where I can't seem to avoid it (like this one), I get so freshly enraged at stuff that's commonplace. Like ad hominem attacks. :)  Are you going to sentence me to be exposed before my peers?

I take it back, talking with you is starting to get a little fun. Please make it easy for me, though, and clearly label where you've edited your post. It's very frustrating to write a reply only to find you've doubled your post length by the time I've finished.

Somebody hit me up when he photoshops my face onto Ann Coulter.

No sugar, nobody understands me ='(

I wasn't 'doubling down' the reason I came to my original conclusion was based on my knowledge of you (even though you still haven't figured out who I am yet :/ ) and the only other information I had at hand at the time. Okay bad form on my part, maybe I should have asked what on earth you were talking about so for that I can only apologise from the bottom of my empty soul.

Okay sweetie, I will cut you a deal; Let's underline this and start again. I will propose the following line of inquiry (and you'll excuse me for copying something I already wrote five pages back, I don't feel like writing the same thing out again) in relation to your question 'why has this gained national awareness when other bad crimes have disappated:

this case has gained the spotlight in the way it has because it underpins two rather divisive topics in America; race and firearms law. These subjects are quite frankly moe important to the public than the individual case, and this has occured various times in history. The L.A.riots didn't happen just because two police officers beat up Rodney King, the Civil rights movement didn't happen because Rosa Parks refused to move, the Arab Spring didn't occur because Mohammad Bouazizi set himself on fire. Occupy Wall street didn't happen because Assange was arrested. Those events were symbolic, and much more important than the circumstances of the actual event.

All I can say to that, Grace, is that unless the President is a super-robot built by amoral sage-aliens from the future, he sure as Hell won't be perfect. If Obama hadn't commented at all (disregarding whether his comments were appropriate or not) people would be lining up calling him an incompassionate son of a bitch. Of course Democrats have a political agenda - just like Republicans do and any other forsaken bastard involved in politics. This isn't anything new nor is it anything surprising.

''But even the President of the United States sometimes must have to stand naked.'' - Bob Zimmerman, It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)

Children are shot constantly.

People can't live their lives without getting bored. Besides, it's not really the people's choice what makes it on the global news for 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 300 something hungover days a year. Also this happened in America, which means it has to be widespread to everyone and it has to be understood and cared about by everyone in this world - alive or dead. Recently in Nigeria people associated with and part of Boko Haram massacred a school; about fourty children died. That's not news, though. It happened in Nigeria and the dead children are African Niggers - Hell, they might as well be Negro Vigilantes. Way of the world, scumbags on top of scumbags. I'll have a drink to anything, but let's riot for the sake of rioting - why not?

My only guess is NAR, although that idea leaves me pretty sad, because it means you've lost your mind since we last had a real discussion.

If you are NAR, when I don't know how you'd ascertain my "tendencies." We haven't spoken in a long time, let alone about politics, and back when we did discuss two or three specific topics, you were much more open-minded. (You still did the "I know everything" BS, but I've found that's sort of par for the course when discussing anything with a guy younger than 30 or so and don't take it personally.)

I really don't care to discuss anything with you at this point. We could certainly have an interesting conversation, but our interactions up to this point have left me pretty alienated. I don't really care whether you use them with other people; the condescending language is off-putting, especially considering how it's all lady-oriented. Go back through the thread - how many times did you call Perm "Sugar"?

I'm a woman, not an idiot. I don't want a pat on the head along with your BS arguments. I've said it to you, and I've said it to Henry; Henry took me at my word and, when we're disagreeing, he's been quite a gentleman and refrained from using it.

How's this for a slogan? You catch more flies with honey than vinegar.

And there's nothing wrong with that - my point is that what he said wasnt' an emotional outburst, he said it that way deliberately.

What I would've liked to hear is "it's time to heal and come back together as a nation. no matter what, we can all agree that something awful happened, and nobody wanted it to turn out this way. Don't misdirect your anger." That would've made me proud to have a President with a level head and balls.

I disagree about the news cycle, BTW. People choose what to watch. If we all chose something better together, the networks using BS tactics wouldn't EDIT FUCK I ALWAYS DO THIS SHIT make money.

I knew you'd come back with the "yeah this thing's fucked, but everything's fucked so let's drink!" In debating society it's known as "The Henry." :D  The only difference between the two of us is I think there's something to be done about it. Which I guess is kind of reassuring.

Yeah, it must feel pretty bad to be discriminated against because you don't fit in with society at large. Maybe you should remember that when you read stories like this.

No, I'm not that guy. Try again. THINK GRACE, THINK.

Frankly I don't give a fuck what Henry or anyone else does and I don't really care whether you are offended or not. That's your baggage not mine. As for perm, well it's not nice to mock the mentally disabled.

Yeah, see that's my point, is that I'm going into it as a woman, so I kind of get - ...

And then you did the same thing that you accused other   - ....

The point I'm making about Henry is that there's a reason we can have a productive conversation. We don't agree on....fuck, pretty much anything, and there was a time we really didn't like each other, but now we're grown a mutual respect. Part of the reason I respect him is he did a kind thing by taking into account the possible insulting nature of a few things he'd say. You, on the other hand, while championing this as a race issue and accusing people of being racist left and right, are throwing around arguably misogynistic language at the first woman who disagrees with you. Can you see the irony in that?

Oh fuck it, your skull is so thick.

Just to be clear, this was bullshit then?

No sugar, that's how I talk to everyone regardless of gender.

I really don't give a fuck who you are, BTW. Your arguments, down to the way you say them, are just commonplace to me at this point. Why don't you give up the social posturing on the internet and go do something nice, like volunteer at a soup kitchen? I think you'll find it much more rewarding than doing this stupid ass song and dance with me.

I think it is safe to say that your reasoning for being disinterested in this case is obvious; For you, the system works. Well, that's fine and great, but maybe you should recognise that for certain minorities who have had a long history of being on the wrong side of the system this is another example of the continued injustices they perceive as happening to them. Whether it's true or not is irrelevant. This case is in itself irrelevant, but is merely symbolic of the actual issues that those people feel and they need to be addressed or you are gonig to have this happen again and again.

My solution is not "don't make a statement", my solution is "make the right kind of statement."

The point here is that what's right for you isn't necessarily right for someone else. No such thing as an universal 'right kind of statement' - unless that statement would involve a larger than life bathtub filled with whiskey and young sexy broads that are dying to get raw-fucked.

he's not a robot, but if you think every word he says isn't given thought by multiple speechwriters, you're wrong.

I never implied otherwise, baby.

And there's nothing wrong with that - my point is that what he said wasnt' an emotional outburst, he said it that way deliberately.

Of course it was: politics follow an almost fatalistic line of persuasiveness through fear and lies; kill the body and the head will die.

What I would've liked to hear is "it's time to heal and come back together as a nation. no matter what, we can all agree that something awful happened, and nobody wanted it to turn out this way. Don't misdirect your anger." That would've made me proud to have a President with a level head and balls.

Personally what I would have liked to hear is something along the lines of ''You want pussy? ask and ye shall receive!'' Unfortunately not every American president can be as bizarrely crooked as Richard Nixon or gunslingingly mad as Reagan.

I disagree about the news cycle, BTW. People choose what to watch. If we all chose something better together, the networks using BS tactics wouldn't

Yes, people - in the literal sense of the word - choose what gets to be on the news. But the media has a way of hyping things up that the viewer and participant is hardly allowed to think otherwise of. I mean, you kind of sound like one of those hippies right now and goddamn I hate those pacifist fuckers. I think if you're a good enough human being regardless of what is the popular thing on the news, you'll evenly (or more, depending on the situation and circumstance) care about something that's lesser known but just as tragic. People choose their own involvement. Personally, I don't really give much of a shit either way unless I see or hear something that I find interesting or annoying or insane enough to respond to.

I knew you'd come back with the "yeah this thing's fucked, but everything's fucked so let's drink!" In debating society it's known as "The Henry." :D  The only difference between the two of us is I think there's something to be done about it. Which I guess is kind of reassuring.

There's a lot you can do about it. In fact, I'm busy working on it right now. I do things my way - like Sinatra and his mobster cronies. I learned it from the best.

The point I'm making about Henry is that there's a reason we can have a productive conversation. I have to be honest here: I'm not some sweet bastard nor do I give a shit about mutual respect or any of those things. I just happen to be experiencing a smooth ecstasy afterglow and have yet not gotten out of bed today. I'll grab a shower somewhere after this post and then go get one or two six packs of beer and sit outside in the park looking at the ducks and the pretty women. It's a nice day outside, a lot of short skirts. Anyway, I never passionately disliked or hated you, I just speak with a certain finesse and style.

Comprende, senorita? never forget you can never trust an unpredictable junkie.

No no, that wasn't bullshit at all. In fact if I am doing it now purely to mock and deride you it's because of your attitude towards it and again I implore you to think about that. My point about not caring whether you're offended is just a general point really. Respecting others opinions is so cliche, dear.

I mean I already made a point with which you could have created an actual discussion, but you are far more interested in keeping up the appearence of the grand Maitre'd of opinions on this site and giving the pretense that you actually have a formulated opinion, whilst ever stroking your ego.

Timeline:

I say something "deliberately vague"

Pooch makes an incorrect assumption, and sets up multiple straw women that he knocks down

I point out that they are straw women

He mocks me with misogynistic language

I point out misogynistic language

He tries to get me to forget the insult and have an actual discussion

I decline due to the still-unaddressed insult

I get accused of "having baggage", not having an opinion (that's a first for me), "stroking my ego," etc etc etc

Pooch, you're an asshole with an above-average vocabulary and very poor reading comprehension. Why would I want to have an in-depth political conversation with you when you can't even get basic human interaction right? The stupidest thing is that I'm not even that smart, relatively speaking. Maybe it's that - the really smart guys get used to getting everything right, so they just bullshit through everything. Dumber people are used to having to think slower and more critically to get things right.

Anyway, Henry's post thoroughly convinced me this is a waste of time. I'll have some of what he's having....minus the morning alcohol and the women. ...actually I guess it's just the sunshine at that point.

Alright look,  I apologised for the misrepresentation of your statement and we already cleared that up. If it'll make you feel better then I also reach into the loins of my ego and I retract the horrid horrid misogynism, I am actually very respectful to women because I am a stand up guy. As for you not having an opinion, I stand by that. You made some statement about 'crime happens anyway and our system is set up so that innocent people aren't imprisoned' which is a statement without a point. Sure it sounds good and everyone could agree with it, but it has as much use as screaming in a wind tunnel.

The whole reason for my sarcastic comments  and being an 'asshole' is because you're not saying anything, you're merely screaming into a wind tunnel.
