Fuck that reminds me I need to watch Let the Right One In still. I have seen the American remake though, which I enjoyed.

I know you already address this in your post.

But American Psycho ain't a horror movie, just a black comedy.

pretty good list, let the right one in would probably be my choice for no. 1 as well. have not seen most of these, as expected, but theres a few i've been wanting to see listed here too.

i consider inland empire to be horror, and it's one of my favorite movies of the last decade, what did you think of it?

also about halloween mood: i knew guy last year who watched a horror movie every day for october, i wanted to try to do that this year but im even busier and probably won't be able to.

Currently attempting to watch at least one horror film I've never seen before each night for October.  I'll try and update the list throughout the month.

But American Psycho ain't a horror movie, just a black comedy.

A lot of the best horror movies are films that blend horror with other genres, which I still categorize as horror.  For example, Let the Right One In is really more of a coming of age drama along the lines of Fucking Amal, but that doesn't exclude it from being a horror film.

American Psycho falls into horror comedy (a la Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, Cheap Thrills) and is still a horror film whether you like it or not, chump.

I know there's another horror movie thread I made, but I don'e feel like looking for it, so I'm just gonna continue using this one instead.

ABCs of Death 2 segments that weren't awful fuckin' garbage:

D is for Deloused (Robert Morgan)
W is for Wish (Steven Kostanski)
X is for Xylophone (Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo)
Z is for Zygote (Chris Nash)

The awfullest of garbage:

L is for Legacy (Lancelot Imasuen)
P is for P-P-P-P SCARY! (Todd Rohal)
S is for Split (Juan Martinez Moreno) (technically well made but the "twist" is offensively bad)
T is for Torture Porn (Jen and Sylvia Soska)

The rest is mostly unmemorable dreck.

So many horror films this month.

Just watched Rituals. So good. Kind of Deliverance meets Hills Have Eyes.

Month almost over. Damn.

If you haven't, watch John Carpenters The Thing(1982). The perfect mixture of psychological thriller/horror/ & science fiction.

Not to mention some amazing special effects for the time it was made with a pretty low budget.
