Hey guys, to start off, music is really important me. I never noticed as a 12 year old whether or not an artist is trying to send us a message, ranting or just straight plain rapping about money, alcohol and whatnots. Don't get me wrong, I have music that would make 'Hip-Hop Heads' look at me like I'm dumb (A$AP Ferg, Death Grips, a few songs by Mac Miller, literally one song by A$AP Rocky and a few more I can't think of at the moment)
(I fucking loved Tupac as a kid)
I just liked music so fucking much, and being oblivious to music but having a conscious about what sounds good to your ears (pretty much personal preference I guess) was pretty awesome at the time.
My Uncle showed me Illmatic at the age of 6 and I still listen to it till' this day
But now I'm 16 (not a huge gap or whatever) and I really pay so much more attention to music, literally anything else I would have a the shortest attention span to. And as much as an artist (or more than one at the same time) can convey a message to the people, a music video (if provided) can just make the message or theme or WHATEVER they're trying to convey just makes it more clear in a way
(MF DOOM is one of my favorite artists of all time. KMD is one of my favorite trios of all time too. My cousin introduced me to him at the age of 8)
With that said, post your favorite music video(s) from this year, give a little reason or back story to why you liked the said video so much. Everyone has a story and this thread is where you can share it (if you are willing to). I won't judge and hopefully our cool mebers won't either. I will post mine in due time (I'm eating breakfast right now lmao).
