Well hello there youngster! It would appear you're interested in street wear to a certain degree. If you're wondering "WHERE CAN I HAZ CLOTHES?" then you've come to the right spot!

Things to know before you get into street wear:

-Limited quantities mean just that : they're limited. If you miss out on a release chances are you're most definitely going to get raped in the ass with people looking to make a profit.
-Counterfeit shit. Ever since the Yonkers video dropped, there has been a field day with fake Supreme shit (more on this below). There's even faker Nikes and other brands out there.
-Style. You can buy all the most expensive SBs, camp caps, and box logo related items, but if you don't know how to dress you'll look like a tool.

Where to Shop

Here's a small list of regular retailers, a bit about them, and their websites. (Not gonna mention the obvious ones like the official OF Shop or Dertbag, I feel as OF fans we probably already know).

If you've listened to OF you've probably heard about Supreme. Supreme was a small-time, once-exclusively based skate shop in NYC. They go way back to '94. Their designs are simple, usually vulgar to an extent, but their logo is what makes them timeless. If you were wondering, the font is Futura, specifically italicized to a degree, first used by Barbara Kruger way back when dinosaurs walked the Earth.

Supreme has several locations, the original store in NY, the one in LA (has a skatebowl, fucking sick), and 4 in fucking Japan (weird, I know).

You're probably going to go into the shop looking for camp caps, box logo hoodies/tees and come out disappointed. Well kids, Supreme works by seasons. They usually have 4 major releases a year, one for each season (F/W/S/S). They usually have previews up on the usual fashion websites. When a line (seasonal release) drops, it's usually on a Thursday. They update the website 11 AM EST when a release is dropped. When the website updates, it usually gets flooded with custies and shit sells out fast. So be prompt and don't have any expectations.

About Box Logo Items : They're very seasonal. They usually drop box logo related items with the Fall/Winter release, and it's usually just a box hoodie or otherwise. Box tees are a lot more elusive, the most recent release being the Kaws x Supreme Box Tee that dropped earlier this Spring. Camp caps, snapbacks, and fitteds, are released through out the year as well. It's all about keeping on top of the dates, basically.

FlatSpot is a UK based Loddiswell, Devon (England). They carry some very obscure Vans (Syndicate releases), Supra, Huf, Nike (SBs) and other releases. Clothes, kicks, and accessories. Their prices are in the form of Euros, so make sure you get a currency converter before you order. I've personally ordered from these dudes before and they're legit. Shipping could get a little pricey, but if you have the cash, it's worth it.

Karmaloop carries your more generic branded street wear (LRG, RVCA, Supra, Analog, etc.) at retail prices. Not much to say except they have a very large selection but everyone and their mom shops here, so if you were looking to stand out you're looking in the wrong place. Not saying it's a bad shop or anything. These guys are also very nice customer service wise and offer a whole shit-ton of codes/discounts/coupons weekly, so sign up and check your e-mail.

Ever wonder what happens to all the shit that karmaloop doesn't manage to flip? Plndr. Plndr is pretty much the left over of seasonal releases from the brands from karmaloop. They update their selection once or twice a week for fantastic prices. Shirts, hoodies, kicks, jeans, and more for less than 20 bucks most of the time. You need an invite though, but that shouldn't be hard. I'm sure someone around here can throw one out.

Kidrobot was a small shop in NYC that dealt vinyl drugs to toy addicts. Fast forward to the early 2000s and Swiss Beats bought a portion of it and created a clothing line. Their designs are playful, loud, and quite colorful. Hoodies, shirts, fitteds, bags, and sometimes kicks are released. If the clothing selection seems slim it's because they're a toy store; they focus more on plastic and vinyl rather than cotton and acrylic. They have two shops, one based in NY, another in LA.

Diamond Supply Co. has been putting out solid designs for almost a decade now. They were one of the first street wear brands to blog about OF and even given two shits about them. They did a very popular Nike SB collabo popularly known as the Tiffany's (like the diamond/jewelry company) that immortalized them. Decent prices, sick designs, and some cool ass stuff. Check'em out.

Jackthreads is a lot like Plndr, but they carry more "mature" clothing. Converse, Vans, Nooka, The Hundreds, Obey, Supra and more for really awesome deals. Their selection changes daily with deals going by really quick. Like Plndr, it's invite only, but from what I hear it's easy to get one.

Imagine if Plndr and Jackthreads were just the younger brothers of some swagtastic beast who oozed style and got bitches like nothing. That's Gilt. Gilt is aimed towards the bachelor type of guy with brands like BBC, Converse, Gucci, Versace, Louis V (rarely), and a lot more that break the bank for up as much as 50% off. Crazy, I know. Again, it's invite only, but again, it's pretty easy to get one.

The Hundreds was a small time brand in the LA streetwear scene that blew up. Now they sponsor their own skateteam, fucks with a lot of the artists OFT is familiar with (OF, Kreayshawn), and have a some really solid shit. Shirts, pants, shorts, and even their own shoes, the little bomb mascot is becoming iconic.

Huf started off as a boutique that retailed streetwear to the denizens of San Francisco. One day their owner decided to put out some clothes with the store logo and it flourished from there. Unfortunately both of their retail locations in Cali recently closed, but the brand still lives on.

Another West Coast based brand. Undftd has been around for a while with their clean, simplistic designs that carry on to other sports, not just exclusively skating like most brands out there. Not much to say about their website as I've never bought from them online, but it's legit.

CCS offers a whole bunch of shit for retail prices. Vans, Supras, Etnies, DC, Nike SBs in terms of clothes, kicks, and skate parts. The most overlooked thing though is the CCS branded items, flannels, denims, pants, and their decks are all amazing for solid prices. Shipping is fast and they're always willing to help out over the phone.

Looking for a really old release or missed out on a drop?

Well, I know that feeling. There's tons of places where you can meet people who didn't sleep on releases. These places are usually forums with heavy set rules but simple as shit listings.

1. http://solecollector.com/forums/

ISS for short. When I was a young buck this is where I went to cop/sell. Everything sold on the forums belongs to another, breathing, human-being. Much like the WTS/WTB section of OFT, you can PM users, converse, set-up a meet-up to pick up goods, organize prices, or shipping. They even have a service where both ends of the deal ship to a middle man who works for the website in order to prevent any scamming or funny business. Jordans, Nike SBs, Vans, street wear and more are listed in easy to navigate threads.

However, if you're a new user you must build up your reputation or feedback (think eBay). For every transaction you rack 1 feedback (be it neg or pos) that hangs over your profile for the rest of your days (or until you make a new account). The community was once really close knit (haven't been on in a few years) and old school users usually are faggots to newbies, but don't let that deter you. If you want something, go for it.

2. http://strictlysupreme.com/

Think ISS, except exclusively Supreme gear. If you're just getting onto Supreme because Tyler rocks it, I would absolutely recommend not mentioning that. They have a whole thread dedicated to laughing at posers and Tyler-dickriders. If you're really looking for some rare-ass Supreme shit, chances are you'll find it here. Again, the feedback system is very similar to ISS/ebay, and the members are even more close-knit.

They have a section where you can link any items you may have stumbled upon in either another listing on another website or ebay, or wherever and people will be willing to give them a check to see if their legit or not. There's even a place where you can ask what the going price for some pieces. These two sections of the site are the most useful in today's Supreme saturated world.

3. http://www.kopbox.co.../aspx/home.aspx

Kopbox is a known Supreme reseller that has some really rare shit. They even have a museum of sorts where you can see all the Supreme box logo variations and collabs. From what I hear, the site is based in Hong Kong, very legit, and carry some very obscure Supreme swag. The selection is usually small and doesn't change until people buy what's already up there.

4. http://www.ebay.com/

Here's the big one. eBay. I'll be quick and dirty about this one, there are only a handful of legit Supreme resellers on eBay. If you type Supreme anything into the search box, 80% of the page will be clouded with fake shit, shit so fake you just know. Some of those legit resellers are :

xinstar23
asiam1nor (hardtofathom)
theonesupreme

and others.

Where can I learn about upcoming street wear and brands?

Easy. There's several online publications that keep up to date in the world of streetwear and fashion.

http://www.highsnobiety.com/

It's really all you need, little known fact, hypebeast reblogs most, if not all their shit from highsnobiety.

http://hypebeast.com/

A website based off a derogatory term for poserfaggotwhodoesn'thavetheirowntaste.

Sites to avoid at all costs.

There's assholes out there who flip fake shit.

http://www.snapbackseason.com/

These guys claim to have legit Supreme shit, even regular snapbacks, but it's fake. Sad thing is that snapback season is co-signed by a few celebs here and there. The quality is garbage and their prices are just too good to be true. An in-depth investigation of this site was done on StrictlySupreme.

Any website selling old Nike SBs/Jordans for retail prices is usually fake. Any website with engrish or other noticeable grammatical errors is most definitely run from China by a sweatshop. There's a lot to list but I felt snapbackseason was the one to mention most.

I hope this helps someone out there. If you have any questions, just post away. If anyone can sticky this that'd be cool too.

What's Tyler Wearing?

I got an eye for the things Tyler wears, so this small sub-section is dedicated to the obscure, non-Supreme and Supreme related articles of clothing he wears.

In the "SHE" video he's wearing this shirt :

http://kittycreation...&products_id=19

Just grab a sharpie and add the upside down cross and black eyes.

Good idea, I'd start one but I really don't know of any sites by name that sell fake shit other than snapbackseason. If you guys find any questionable articles of clothing or websites selling such, post it here and I can check it out.

Flat Spot is also the name of the local skateshop in my town, they also have an online store for assorted skate stuff, shoes and vintage snapbacks.

http://flatspot.ca/store/

/plug.

And this is was an awesome read, it'll definitely help me when I get a CC/PayPal to spend stuff online.

The thing is, they claim to be pushing legit Supreme shit (even going as far to say they have exclusive samples that were never released) and some of their shit is pretty questionable.

Personally, I'm thinking, if they sell fake Supreme shit, what makes any of their other stuff legit?

Again, buyer beware. I'm just using my experience from StrictlySupreme.

Superflous yes, but at the same time, the stuff on Karmaloop can easily be found in common department stores (at least for me, I live in NY). I didn't mean to offend anyone or come off as a douche bag.

Everyone has their own preferences and tastes. To each, their own.

For plndr, jackthreads and gilt, you need to just sign up with an email, you don't need an invite :)

happy shopping to you youthful trend-setters. this is admirable. on-line shopping specialists--UNITE! also, ii took offense to your barbara kruger statement.

why is this all about "streetwear?"

due to the fact that streetwear is synonymous with the OF collective.

With your avatar, I'm just picturing you with mittens pinned to your jacket.

Question - I'm trying to order something from Jackthreads, and one of the required fields is 'Location'. Now, its already asked for my Street, City, Zip, State, and Country. What would 'Location' be?

I'm in my teens and I knew about all of this....streetwear is made for teens/young adults. We are supposed to know about it.
