I want to buy a Golf Hoodie there is a green or brown one. I want the brown one but the xs is sold out. In the green size there is xs. In the brown one there is small and i am a xs do you think I should just buy the green one or buy the brown one or just wait?

Pretty much what i've been saying in many different blog comment sections. I know you kiddies have short attention spans so I trimmed it a bit. If you want to read the whole thing (which I strongly suggest for the sake of context) I've included the link at the bottom.
----------------------------
Back in 2006, Phonte penned a blog post about the North’s fascination with Lil Wayne:

“Wayne’s renewed popularity, to me, is just like that Chris Rock joke about white people saying ‘he speaks so well’ when referring to Black people. What the f*ck y’all think….niggas can’t read or some sh*t……?

That’s exactly what I think when I hear niggas who LOATHED Cash Money 5 years ago, rave about how hot Wayne is now. If Wayne was from NYC, he’d be just another mixtape nigga doing his best Jigga impersonation that nobody cared about.”

His post, entitled “Lil Wayne Speaks So Well,” essentially chronicled the way the North graded Weezy and his ilk on a curve because Southern rappers weren’t supposed to be able to string two sentences together, let along flex lyrical muscle over a track. That was New York’s job. Remember, New York was at one point the Mecca.

It’s amazing how things change in five years.

So when an artist like ASAP Rocky comes along, my Twitter timeline tells me that many New Yorkers online – whether it be my fellow journalists or just diehard NYC Hip-Hop fans – want to crown him as the dopest mofo alive, rolling out the red carpet and screaming about his inevitable ascension to the Hip-Hop elite.
...
However, if ASAP Rocky were from the South, he’d be just another trap rapper that spits about purple drink and hood sh*t. It’s not to say that he’s not quality. He just doesn’t stand out from Pill, Yo Gotti, Starlito or Trouble. And if he were from Atlanta or Houston, ASAP would be just another Southern n*gga with a story to tell. But I looked back at the comments in a few of our ASAP posts and shook my head at the comments. Everyone was screaming HARLEM like he was doing anything remotely exclusive to any of the five boroughs.
...
We’re now a whole generation removed from New York’s reign on top and the music reflects that. The “classic New York sound” is being buried further underground while the city is so desperate for a new savior that it’s rallying behind anyone with a serviceable flow and moderate buzz to bring the kingdom back, even if the future king is more Gangsta Boo than Gang Starr. It’s ironic – and somewhat sad – that the city so full of pride about its own sound and heritage will champion a new ruler that so blatantly reflects the Southern style that New York used to shun and blame for Hip-Hop’s downfall.

This true is absolutely in every way. I was actually listening to ASAP Rocky a week ago & was thinking how he's not really but much of lyricist at all but is getting a lot of love from everyone, especially for being an NY rapper. A place notorious for its rhymes.

This was a good read & a unique, but true perspective on ASAP Rocky

thisis wrong .. ppl dont like wayne because of that and hes really not tht lyrical just recycled rehashed and sometimes nonsensical punchlines that sound like they make sense to the retards...

asap rocky combines Max B's singsong hooks , houston and harlem swag combo , with almost trance like chill beats... really i dnt think he sounds like a southern rapper .. listening to son without the video and minus the purple swag song idk how u guys figure that.. he obviously has traces of the south style kinda in him but its not dominant ...

i think you have a point but it all comes down to hip hops #1 rule do watever the fuck you want

if he just decided to have a southern style nothing wrong with that

now he has alot to prove lyrically and we all hope he steps it up

what got me into rocky is its a fresh new movement like OF something new

I disagree, I believe even if ASAP Rocky was from the south he'd still be getting the attention that he's getting right now, he wouldn't be just another nigga. It's true that a lot his content contains "purple drink and hood shit", but dude also covers a lot of other content (based on the few songs and verses we've heard from him so far). ASAP's lyrics and sound has a lot of southern influence but he also has that "New York" sound to him.

People need to check out ASAP's other shit too, its not fair to define who he is as a rapper by judging him off of Purple Swag and Peso (I still love those songs though). If you listen to his other songs you can hear that the dude can really spit and ride a beat.

"Toast To The Gods" and his verse in this song made me an ASAP Rocky fan.

like i said, i suggest you guys read the whole piece for a better grasp of context.
the writer's not talking out of his ass. he knows Rocky's music pretty well

and besides you can't ignore Purple Swag & Peso as his most significant reasons for success
that's like saying yeah tyler's great but you can't judge him off of Yonkers
Yonkers was his breakout song. same with Purple Swag for ASAP Rocky.

This is true. I still like most of ASAP Rocky's songs but I really don't understand why people say he's so "amazing" or he is gonna become some type of great. It's just chill to listen to. Dude makes good music but I wouldn't go as far to say I'm a fan. Just a casual listener.

You can't really compare different styles like that...lol

Aesop is more backpacky, Asap is more street. Both are good.
